Store in a Box (SIB) arrives at your door ready for you to display and sell. The value of products inside can be as small as $150 or as large as $800! Each box — Fairtrade Starter Pack, Conscientious Consumers or Tribes and Nations Fair Trader — has different benefits and possibilities, with a suggested range available that you can customise yourself. Ideas for Store in a Box

There are many ways people have used Store in a Box but here are some suggestions to get you started:

- Fair Trade coffee and dessert evenings
- Fetes and church stalls
- Information evenings and outreach events
- taking orders from colleagues or friends in order to promote fairtrade.
- Monthly stalls at the back of the church. This was a major part of the grassroots movement that transformed fair trade into a major market force in the UK!

Fairtrade Starter Pack

Who for? Designed for the Fair Trade beginner, this package gives a taste of Fair Trade coffee and tea and promotes the idea of ‘paying the harvester’ by using Fair Trade at your office, church or community group.

Aim? Start the habit of buying Fair Trade tea, coffee and chocolate as an act of truly loving our neighbours.

Ideally your church or group would have already agreed to use Fair Trade whenever coffee and tea is served. If you meet the criteria, this may be linked to becoming a Fair Trade community, a free service that allows you to be certified.

Store in a Box Ongoing Order package $300

Who for? Normally used as a follow up to the $150 Fair Trade Starter package. By taking orders through different groups you can get to this amount and effectively be buying your church or organisation coffee for free. Through promoting Fair Trade, you are making a statement that your group does not tolerate exploitation of the poor.

Postage and Handling? Free in NSW/ACT. $15 for all other states.

Extra Value? A free kilo of ground or bean coffee when the majority of the order is made up of our fresh roasted coffee and/or handcrafts.

Payment? Upfront via EFT, Credit Card or cheque. Ongoing payments can be made on a 14 day account.

Different ways people have used this package are:
- Taking orders the week before and selling the week after
- Getting individual group leaders to order and pay online (using your group registration, which we label as ‘free postage’). A box full of orders, marked ‘Greg’s group’ or Zelda’s group’, awaits the group reps, all paid for and ready to be picked up
- Buying regular quantities (as per previous orders) with a backup plan for the overs (someone commits to buy them for home or work).

Tribes and Nations Fair Trader

Store in a Box Promoter and Distributor Package $800

Who for? If you are passionate about seeing justice done in the world and don’t mind getting up in front of groups then this is for you.

Aims? Designed for the person who is ready to promote Tribes and Nations as a part-time pursuit via organising groups to talk and sell at. The ideal time is pre Christmas where you can offer the opportunity to talk about thinking and buying dynamically to impact the people of the world. 

Postage and Handling? Orders over $300 are free in NSW/ACT. $15 for all other states.

Extra Value? Your first order will come will include 3 catalogues, posters,  Tribes and Nations banner. Re-orders over $300 attract the same 20% discount off all goods (instant coffee, tea and chocolate 10% only).

Payment Options

Option 1 Upfront via EFT, Credit Card or cheque.

Option 2 Make contact with us to flag your interest. Book up 2 to 3 groups and give us a call to organise payment of your $200 deposit. Order and receive your goods and pay the remaining amount within 30 days after the invoice date.

We have a standard, best seller mix for this package but you are able to choose all of the goods as you wish.

We should point out that this is not 'party plan' nor 'pyramid selling'. It's long term aim is to benefit our partners and the people that you share with. There are no benefits by introducing other Tribes and Nations Fair Traders as per these other schemes.

If the time or monetary commitment of Tribes and Nations Fair Trade is a little daunting you may want to start with a Starter Pack then perhaps move to a Store in a Box Consignment. Both of these have no long term commitment nor cost much to do but are great ways to see if it is 'your cup of fairtrade tea'.
