Past Events

Margaret Moodie of Fairymeadow (Wollongong) took a Store In A Box (SIB) to present at their Mother's Day Craft day. Margaret's friend, Janice Kingman, runs this yearly event where locals have the opportunity to buy special Mum’s Day gifts of craft at her home. Margaret organised for a SIB to add to the earthy flavour of the day. They served Fairtrade coffee and tea and a beautiful afternoon was had by all.

Fairtrade Fortnight Coffee Tasting

Saturday the 17th, Fairtrade Fortnight Coffee tasting at St Hilda's Anglican Church Katoomba.

Once again Tribes and Nations joined together with Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Wentworth Falls, Micah Challenge Group for Fairtrade Fortnight. This time it was taking it to the streets of Katoomba to taste the coffee and share why Fairtrade was important. This was held on the front lawn of St Hilda's Anglican Church, Katoomba, who are keen supporters of Fairtrade.

It was a very blustery and cold day but very encouraging. Lots of questions, lots of tasting and support from overseas visitors who knew exactly what Fairtrade was all about.

It was good to be face to face with the public and to hear their views and desire to know and understand more. It certainly was a worthwhile venture.

A cold group gathered later at a local turkish food bar for some warming late lunch.

Tribes and Nations thank the Holy Trinity Micah Challenge group headed up by Mr Geoff Atwood and Rev Ray Robinson from St Hilda's Chruch for their support and partnership.
