Our EcoRiver Toiletry Bags are special as they have been made from garbage collected by Jakarta's Trash Pickers and are truly one of a kind. Artisans then cut and stitch together pieces of plastic packaging waste to design a unique pattern for each toiletry bag. They use packaging from Indonesian brands of detergents, cooking oil, toothpaste and drink pouches — all which would otherwise end up clogging landfills. The joy we have in bringing you these products is twofold — firstly people earn a decent wage and are cared for under fair trade principles, secondly they learn about recycling and caring for their environment.

These toiletry bags are made by XSProject Foundation. XS means excess ... XSProject started as an artist's expression against the impact of consumerism on the environment. It evolved into a foundation which uses design & education to clean up the environment and help Indonesia’s poor.
